FAQ

1. Why can't I drag and drop items to reorder them in Priority, Task Type, or Tags?

Drag-and-drop reordering is only supported on the Status tab.

Explanation:

  • Status: Requires manual reordering because it dictates the column order on the Kanban Board.
  • Priority, Task Type, and Tags: These items use fixed system ordering or level hierarchies and cannot be manually rearranged.

2. Why am I unable to drag and drop items on the Status screen?

If status cards snap back or fail to move when dragged:

Possible Causes:

  • You are not clicking directly on the drag handle area (::) on the left side of the row.
  • Your account lacks administrator permissions to modify project workflow settings.
  • Network delay prevented the updated order from saving to the server.

What You Can Do:

  • Hover over the row and ensure you click and drag using the six-dot icon (::).
  • Refresh the page and try reordering again.
  • Contact your system administrator to verify you have project edit rights.

3. What happens to existing tasks if I delete a Status, Priority, or Task Type?

Deleting a configuration item affects active issues assigned to that metadata value.

Possible Causes:

  • Tasks linked to a deleted status or type may lose their board column mapping or revert to a default fallback state (NO STATUS or TODO).

What You Can Do:

  • Before deleting a status or priority, reassign all affected tasks on the Board or Backlog to an alternative active status or priority level.

4. Why is the "Create" or "Update" button disabled inside the settings modal?

If you cannot click Create or Update when adding/editing an item:

Possible Causes:

  • A mandatory input field (such as Status Name, Priority Name, or Task Type Name) was left empty.
  • An item with the exact same name already exists in your project settings.

What You Can Do:

  • Fill out all required text fields inside the modal.
  • Ensure the name you entered is unique and not a duplicate.

5. Why am I seeing a 500 Internal Server Error when saving settings?

A 500 error indicates an unexpected backend failure while updating project settings.

Possible Causes:

  • Temporary server outage or database connection error while updating project configurations.

What You Can Do:

  • Refresh the page after a few minutes and re-attempt the change.
  • Sign out and log back in to refresh your active session token.
  • Contact technical support if the error persists.

6. Why am I getting a 403 Access Denied error on the Settings page?

Modifying project configurations requires administrative access.

Possible Causes:

  • Your assigned role is set to Viewer or Contributor rather than Project Administrator.
  • Your login session expired.

What You Can Do:

  • Sign out and sign back in.
  • Request Project Administrator privileges from your project owner.
