FAQ
1. Why am I seeing a 500 Internal Server Error while opening the Timeline page?
A 500 Internal Server Error usually indicates that the server encountered an unexpected problem while processing your request.
Possible Causes:
- The server is temporarily unavailable.
- The backend service loading project schedule data is not responding.
- The database connection failed.
- The system is undergoing scheduled maintenance.
What You Can Do:
- Refresh the page after a few minutes.
- Sign out and sign back in.
- Check your internet connection.
- Contact your system administrator if the issue persists.
2. Why isn't my created task appearing on the timeline grid?
If clicking Create adds the task to the list but not on the timeline chart, date parameters may be missing.
Possible Causes:
- Either the Start Date or End Date was left blank.
- The item is hidden inside a collapsed Epic.
- Search filters are hiding the item.
What You Can Do:
- Ensure both Start Date and End Date are set.
- Expand the parent Epic by clicking the drop-down arrow next to it.
- Clear any text in the Search Timeline bar.
3. Why can't I save or update task timings on the timeline?
The system validates schedule data before saving items.
Possible Causes:
- The Start Date is set later than the End Date.
- Required fields (like Status or Priority) were left blank.
- Invalid file format in the Attachment section.
What You Can Do:
- Verify that the Start Date occurs before or on the End Date.
- Fill out all mandatory fields before clicking Create or Task Update.
- Check file upload size and format constraints.
4. Why are my changes on the timeline not saving?
If task updates or date adjustments revert, communication with the server may have been interrupted.
Possible Causes:
- Your internet connection was briefly interrupted.
- Your login session expired.
- The server rejected the update request.
What You Can Do:
- Refresh the page and try again.
- Sign in again if your session has expired.
- Contact your system administrator if the issue continues.
5. Why can't I delete an Epic or Task?
Certain items cannot be deleted if active subtasks or dependent linkages exist.
Possible Causes:
- The Epic contains active Stories, Tasks, or Subtasks.
- The task is linked as a dependency to another active task.
- Your role does not have permission to delete project items.
What You Can Do:
- Reassign or delete child subtasks/stories before deleting the main Epic.
- Remove linked task associations.
- Contact your administrator to request additional permissions.
6. Why am I getting a 403 Access Denied or Unauthorized message?
This message indicates that your account does not have permission to access or modify this project timeline.
Possible Causes:
- Your assigned role does not include project modification permissions.
- Your login session has expired.
- You are not assigned to this specific project.
What You Can Do:
- Sign out and sign back in.
- Ensure you are logged into the correct user account.
- Contact your system administrator to request project access.
7. Why is the Timeline list not loading?
If the timeline chart remains empty or shows a constant loading spinner, data retrieval may have failed.
Possible Causes:
- Slow or unstable internet connection.
- No tasks or epics have been created for this project yet.
- Server request timeout.
What You Can Do:
- Refresh the page.
- Check your network connection.
- Create a new task to populate the timeline.
8. Why can't I find a task using Search?
If the search feature returns no results, the query may not match existing item titles.
Possible Causes:
- The task title was entered incorrectly.
- You are looking in the wrong project directory.
- The task has been deleted.
What You Can Do:
- Verify spelling in the Search Timeline field.
- Confirm you are on the right project navigation path.
- Clear the search bar to show all timeline items.
9. Why am I seeing a Network Error message?
A Network Error indicates the web app cannot communicate with the system server.
Possible Causes:
- Your internet connection is unstable.
- The server is temporarily offline.
- A VPN, proxy, or firewall is blocking the connection.
What You Can Do:
- Verify your local network connection.
- Temporarily disable VPN or proxy if enabled.
- Refresh the page and try again.
10. Why was I automatically logged out while creating or updating a task?
For security reasons, inactive user sessions expire automatically after a set period.
Possible Causes:
- The modal was left open without interaction for too long.
- You signed in from another tab or browser device.
What You Can Do:
- Sign back into your account.
- Save work regularly when configuring complex epics or tasks.
